Where our timber comes from
All the hardwood we use at Log on the Tyne comes from my tree surgery business, West Jesmond Tree Surgery ltd. Most of the trees we remove are because of structural damage to buildings, storm damaged, dead or unsafe, and trees planted in the wrong location. We don't fell trees just for firewood.
Timber type
We only use the best hardwood for logs. This timber is all locally sourced reducing our carbon footprint.

Drying the timber
We air dry the logs to below 20% moisture in large metal crates for 2 years. We then barn store the logs before they are netted or bagged ready for delivery.

We supply firewood to homes and businesses throughout the Newcastle area, with local delivery available on request. All wood is dry, comes from recycled timber and is suitable for stoves of all sizes.
